VaST Appoints Dr. Klaus Baron as Strategic Advisor for Automotive

VaST Systems, the leader in electronics virtualization, today announced that automotive electronics industry veteran technologist Dr. Klaus Baron has been appointed to the position of Strategic Advisor for Automotive.

Dr. Baron is a highly experienced technical and business leader with more than 30 years of high technology systems and product experience, of which he worked the last ten years in the field of automotive electronics. Most recently, Klaus held a dual role as director of engineering and director of a profit responsible customer business unit for Delphi Controls and Security division. In these roles Klaus led the design, development and market promotion of leading edge automotive electronic control units and other devices for products serving global automotive OEMs. Klaus is working with VaST in helping to define products and go-to-market strategies to better meet the challenges of the automotive markets.

"The automotive industry continues to experience a rapid shift toward software driven electronics. This requires more productive solutions for managing software development in the face of shorter innovation cycles, 0-defect-design, and increasing market price pressure. VaST’s solutions uniquely address this challenge by allowing a more frontloaded design process, free of hardware prototypes. My work with VaST helps bring this technology to more of the automotive electronics design community,” said Dr. Klaus Baron.

"Dr. Baron’s unique business and technical depth of understanding in automotive is particularly valuable given the technology challenges faced by the worldwide automotive industry. He brings a customer perspective that helps VaST focus and deliver solutions that exactly match the needs of our automotive customers,” said Alain Labat, VaST president and CEO.
