Ipswitch File Transfer division, a developer of comprehensive secure and managed file transfer solutions, today introduces MOVEit DMZ Hosted Services to provide a Software as a Service (SaaS)-based managed file transfer solution.
“In this economy, it’s increasingly common for companies to invest less in the physical infrastructure or IT staff it takes to administer and maintain on-premises software, such as a secure managed file transfer solution,” said Jonathan Lampe, vice president, Research & Development. “The answer: create a simulated IT department using cloud computing, virtualization, SaaS, and hosted services,” said Lampe.
MOVEit DMZ Hosted Services offers both shared and dedicated hosted subscription plans, providing:
- Flexibility in budgeting and lower up-front costs
- Deployment in a matter of hours; IT administrators never have to touch the software
- Less taxing on IT resources with no underlying infrastructure to assemble or maintain
- 100% network uptime keeps infrastructure up and running, worry-free
- State of the art secure data facility that’s SaaS 70 type II and PCI DSS compliant
The expansion of the hosted services offering is being executed on the tail end of Gartner positioning Ipswitch as a “Leader” in the Magic Quadrant for Managed File Transfer. Although Ipswitch File Transfer has offered this functionality for years, the new release gives customers more opportunity for managing important files when they cannot implement an on-premises solution,” said Lampe.
