Apparent Networks Signs Reseller Agreement with International Computerware

Apparent Networks, a leading provider of network fault and performance management solutions, today announced that it has signed a reseller partnership agreement with International Computerware, Inc (ICI). ICI can now offer PathView products to customers who need advanced network management functionality, particularly in support of their virtualized infrastructures and applications.

Under the agreement, ICI is authorized to sell PathView and the hosted version, PathView Cloud, to enterprise, non-profit and government customers throughout North America. The arrangement also enables ICI to use PathView products to monitor and troubleshoot the suite of managed services ICI provides to its clients.

PathView products are next-generation network performance management tools. Unlike traditional network management products, PathView provides insight into the performance of entire network paths – including segments that pass through carrier networks and service provider clouds. This unique, end-to-end visibility enables network teams to ensure the reliability of distributed applications and infrastructure, such as virtual desktops, remote back-up and VoIP.

“The newer SaaS-based applications and virtual machines are a very powerful combination,” said Jamie Shepard, executive vice president of ICI. “But in order to make sure everything is working in concert over complex, extended networks that include virtualized resources, you need the full view of end-to-end performance. That’s precisely what PathView tools deliver for our customers. It’s enabling technology that really helps them move forward more quickly and confidently with their virtualization and SaaS initiatives.”

“With ICI’s long and successful track record of designing and implementing enterprise solutions, and their strong presence in our key markets, they are well positioned to bring our PathView products to a broader group of customers,” said Keith Bartlett, vice president of business development for Apparent Networks. “The ICI team is widely recognized for their expertise in delivering the full range of IT solutions to demanding customers. We’re excited to be partnering with them, and leveraging their reputation, to introduce PathView’s unique and powerful capabilities to many new customers.”

ICI provides a wide variety of professional IT services, including business process consulting, data management, solutions deployment and support. Areas of focus include the design, implementation and support of virtualization, enterprise storage, back-up and recovery, and disaster recovery and business continuity services. Founded in 1981, the company is headquartered in Marlborough, Mass.
