BURLINGTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/14/10 -- Acronis, Inc. (http://www.acronis.com), a provider of affordable, scalable storage management and disaster recovery software, is broadening its strategy to protect customers with one of the most comprehensive information protection and security packages available.

In 2010, Acronis will launch a series of new products and services designed to meet the growing market demand to completely protect critical data and systems from internal and external threats. The offerings will shield computers from viruses, spam and spyware while extending the data protection of Acronis' award-winning backup and recovery technology -- offering one of the most comprehensive protection packages available in the industry.

Whether they require on-site backup and disaster recovery, cloud-based data protection, or the most stringent security software, customers can be confident that they will receive the most complete solution from a vendor they know and trust. Acronis will help protect their PCs and servers, offering them the flexibility to address their unique information protection requirements," said Jason Donahue, CEO at Acronis.

Writing on the increased use of coal as a result of technological improvements, 19th-century economist William Stanley Jevons found that these improvements led to the development of new ways to utilize coal. In his session at 19th Cloud Expo, Mark Thiele, Chief Strategy Officer for Apcera, compared the Jevons Paradox to modern-day enterprise IT, examin...
