Growing Our Global Footprint: Two More SaaS App Stores Launch in Ireland and New Zealand

San Jose, CA, March 23, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Following the recent announcements of the expansion of its App Stores to the US (www.Appmerica.com) and the UK (www.Appclick.co.uk), SaaS Markets has further extended its reach with the launch of the AppClick brand in Ireland (www.AppClick.ie) and New Zealand (www.AppClick.co.nz).

Appclick provides users with access to SaaS business applications and programs via a web portal. The SaaS model allows suppliers to provide access to applications through a web interface without users having to install additional software on any personal computer. With a few clicks of a button, you will have your business running a new accounting application or a project management tool.

Speaking at the launch of the two new App Stores at SaaS Markets European Development Center in Dublin, Ireland, CEO Ferdi Roberts noted, “This is part of a broader global plan to extend the power of Software as a Service by delivering an unmatched selection of web-based business apps to small and medium-sized businesses across the planet. We are bringing SaaS to the masses” he added.

As cloud computing rises to new heights and as more industries realize how software-as-a-service can impact overhead, many businesses will be moving to online software. SaaS Markets offers thousands of opportunities for business enterprises to simplify their organization by implementing the perfect online software solution, manage business processes and reduce IT costs.

Judy Azevedo, Associate Marketing Manager at SaaS Markets noted, “Cloud computing is a hugely evolving industry that revolutionizes how businesses and public sector organizations run their operations and deliver products and services. It will be a catalyst for significant growth in the national and global economy. Plus, the launch of Appclick Ireland and Appclick New Zealand will deliver a much needed framework for any growing business.”

The SaaS Markets Global Footprint
“In the next 30 days we will complete the first phase of our global footprint which will see us launching our brand in every major SaaS Market in the world. Having an individual store in each locale allows us to respond to the different market requirements of each so we will see these stores adapt in line with the unique market demands as we see them develop. We have seen unprecedented interest in our offering and we will be announcing further SaaS App Store openings in the coming days and weeks.”

Marketing to the World
In a comment aimed at the SaaS Development community Roberts added, “For the first time ever, a SaaS developer will have access to a global network of SaaS App Stores from which they can connect and market their product to the millions of small businesses we are connecting with in every major SaaS market across the globe. That’s incredibly powerful.”

The Jevons Paradox suggests that when technological advances increase efficiency of a resource, it results in an overall increase in consumption. Writing on the increased use of coal as a result of technological improvements, 19th-century economist William Stanley Jevons found that these improvements led to the development of new ways to utilize coal. In his session at 19th Cloud Expo, Mark Thiele, Chief Strategy Officer for Apcera, compared the Jevons Paradox to modern-day enterprise IT, examin...
