Global IT Thought Leaders and Professionals Converge in Washington, D.C. for WWT’s Geek Day 2012

World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, announced today that Geek Day 2012, the company’s two-day, vendor agnostic learning and networking event focused on collaboration, wireless, mobility, security, data center and virtualization technologies, kicks-off Wednesday at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The ninth annual Geek Day features 61 learning labs and 32 breakout sessions from more than 50 of the world’s leading technology vendors. Over two days, Geek Day provides attendees with hands-on learning, networking and presentations from technology leaders including futurist Syd Mead.

Over 1,200 attendees have already registered for Geek Day 2012, which takes a holistic approach, covering a full range of technology topics from servers and storage to facilities and power. IT professionals working across diverse silos of IT responsibility are encouraged to attend the entire two days, as well as an optional third training day, in order to maximize the educational and networking opportunities the event offers. Hosted by WWT, an architecturally independent systems integrator, Geek Day allows attendees to see innovative IT solutions from global technology leaders in a vendor-neutral environment. The event will be held April 11th and 12th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in downtown Washington, D.C.
