Trend Micro Integrates security management products with ConnectWise for more profitable cloud-based security services

TAMPA, Fla. and CUPERTINO, Calif., Oct. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ConnectWise, developer of the leading service management software designed exclusively for IT service providers, VARS, ISVs and MSPs, announced today that Trend Micro Incorporated (TYO: 4704; TSE: 4704), the global cloud security leader, has completed integration of its endpoint, web and email security management products with ConnectWise for increased reporting, billing, and service ticket automation.

Trend Micro's Internet content security and threat management for MSPs includes cloud-based products and tools such as Trend Micro™ Worry-Free™ Business Security Services, Trend Micro™ Hosted Email Security, Trend Micro™ Worry-Free™ Remote Manager, and  the Licensing Management Platform. Security services help MSP partners increase recurring revenues, annuity streams, cash flow, and help MSP partners increase average deal sizes by offering additional Trend Micro solutions like Trend Micro Hosted Email Security.

Features resulting from this integration include:

  • Streamlined billing: Trend Micro product-usage data is automatically sent to ConnectWise on a scheduled basis to facilitate automated customer billing.
  • Centralized ticketing: Trend Micro products can automatically generate tickets within ConnectWise.
  • Enhanced Executive Summary Report: Trend Micro statistical information is automatically included in the Executive Summary Report.
