Nintex (www.nintex.com), the world’s leading SharePoint workflow company, today announced its exciting new range of products aligning with the release of Microsoft SharePoint 2013. Nintex Workflow 2013 and Nintex Forms 2013 both leverage advancements within the SharePoint platform, while adding new mobile device capability, social media integration and support for cloud-hosted scenarios.
The next generation of Nintex products will empower organizations to extend business process automation to more people, places and devices, continuing the Nintex vision of delivering ‘Workflow For Everyone’.
New to Nintex Products in 2013:
- Mobility – Mobile companions for both Windows 8 and iOS will continue to build upon the company’s mobility strategy that started with Lazy Approval® and Nintex Forms. Mobile applications ensure ease of access for workers on the go wanting to create and respond to items such as leave requests and expense approvals. New mobile apps will support touch input, location data, camera photos, as well as digital audio and video.
- Social – Already integrated with Yammer, Twitter, and Facebook, the Nintex workflow platform will continue to add connectivity and provisioning capabilities to social tools and services. Users can discover processes and participate in tasks directly within social media channels and SharePoint social feeds.
- Cloud – The Nintex cloud strategy is based around the philosophy that the “cloud” is one more place where work gets done. The company began supporting cloud computing two years ago with the release of Nintex Live, when SharePoint 2010 workflows could connect with Office 365. In the SharePoint 2013 era, Nintex users will be able to run workflows in the cloud, as well as use a combination of online and onsite workflows.
“Customers enjoy using Nintex products because we make it easy, for a broad range of users, to create workflows and forms, without having to write a single line of code. They can quickly manage multiple processes from the familiar browser-based SharePoint interface,” said Alberto Sutton, Nintex vice president of product management. “Our 2013-ready investments are expanding users’ freedom to initiate and improve processes, manage productivity, and support decision making at all levels of an organization.”
“We heard from our partners and customers that timing the transition to SharePoint 2013 was a priority,” said Mike Fitzmaurice, Nintex vice president of product technology. “We worked closely with Microsoft’s SharePoint team to ensure that we are able to meet customers where they choose to go, particularly if they want to immediately move to SharePoint 2013. As in previous versions, the new Nintex Workflow, Nintex Forms and Nintex Workflow for Project Server for 2013 will work seamlessly with the new SharePoint platform.
“This release begins a regular cadence of upgrades and innovations to Nintex products that will continue throughout 2013, which is what our customers have come to expect,” Fitzmaurice said.
“As an organization with multiple business processes and systems, we have come to rely on Nintex not only for its easy-to-use products and support, but also for its innovation and ability to bring new technologies to market,” said Benedict Chiu, corporate applications team leader at South East Water, Australia. “Knowing that Nintex has immediately integrated its technology into SharePoint 2013 while supporting the existing platform gives us confidence that we can adopt new tools on our own timetable and that we made the right choice in technology to help with our workflow systems.”
