VIENNA, Va., Nov. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading Service Provider and Technology Integrator MicroTech was recognized by Deloitte as the No. 1 Communications/Networking Company in the Washington DC Metro Area at the Greater Washington Deloitte Fast 500 Awards Reception last night. This is the second consecutive year MicroTech has received this recognition and their fourth year on the distinguished Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list.
The awards dinner and ceremony at Deloitte's Rosslyn office in Arlington, Virginia presented the much celebrated Technology Fast 500™ list of the fastest growing tech, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and clean tech companies in North America. Founded in 1995, Deloitte's Technology Fast 500™ listing ranks both public and private companies based on their percentage of revenue growth from 2007 to 2011.
President & CEO of MicroTech, Tony Jimenez, credits his company's consistent revenue increase to innovation and forward thinking. "MicroTech has continued to develop cutting-edge solutions and invest in growing areas like Cloud Computing and Mobility. We strive to give our customers what they need to optimize performance and the ability to do more with less," he said.
Recognized as the largest Hispanic-Owned IT Integrator in the U.S., MicroTech provides Technology Services, Network Systems Integration, Product Solutions, Cloud Computing, Unified Communications & Collaboration, Cyber Security, Mobility, and Social Media Solutions as well as leadership/management skills courses, business simulations and vital industry certifications as part of MicroTech University to commercial enterprises, along with the public sector -- managing more than half-a-million technology users daily. A prime contractor of over 100 Federal projects and more-than-25 procurement vehicles, MicroTech offers access to 2500 vendors and a million technology products and services across the government.
"The companies on the Fast 500 list are among those that have demonstrated remarkable innovation, creativity and business savvy," said Bill Ribaudo partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP and national TMT leader for audit and enterprise risk services (AERS). "As a result, these companies have continued to successfully forge ahead in a challenging economic environment. We applaud the leadership and employees of MicroTech for this impressive accomplishment."
With 2,669 percent growth over the last five years, MicroTech is ranked third among the companies in the Washington DC Metro area and No. 53 on the list of 500. The other two companies recognized in the DC area are in the Media and Entertainment industry.
