Zonoff Recognized as "Top 100" Private Tech Company in Mid-Atlantic

AlwaysOn Network Cites Zonoff for Huge Value Creation and Innovative Disruption for Home Monitoring Platform

MALVERN, Pa., Nov. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Zonoff, Inc., creators of the Intuitive Home, today announced that they have been selected by AlwaysOn network as one of the Top 100 Private Companies in the mid-Atlantic region. Zonoff was one of nine companies chosen in the "Cloud and Infrastructure" category when the awards were announced at the third annual IMPACT Venture Summit Mid-Atlantic, held at the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia on November 7-8, 2012.

According to AlwaysOn, they surveyed the entrepreneurial community to identify the top 100 private companies that "are creating new, vital solutions leading to legacy industry disruption and huge value-creation opportunities in the mid-Atlantic region."

"We are honored to be included in this list of high profile companies," said Mike Harris, founder and CEO of Zonoff. "Since we sell through channel partners, we keep a pretty low public profile. But our Intuitive Home solution has been very well received by top-notch partners, and it's gratifying to receive this type of public recognition as well."

Zonoff, Inc., creator of the Intuitive Home™ platform, provides comprehensive wireless technology and commerce solutions to channel partners who, in turn, deliver home monitoring products and services to the consumer mass market. Zonoff's modular, cross-technology approach includes embedded software, Cloud services and Apps which can be combined to deliver best-of-breed home automation, remote control, energy management and safety monitoring, ranging from entry level to comprehensive solutions.

The Venture Summit Mid-Atlantic 100 winners were selected from among thousands of regional technology companies nominated by investors, bankers, journalists, and industry insiders. The AlwaysOn editorial team conducted a rigorous three-month selection process to finalize the 2012 list. Companies were selected based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz.

The Top 100 were chosen by the AlwaysOn editorial team, along with partners at esteemed venture capital firms such as Hudson Ventures, Flybridge Venture Capital, Sequoia Capital, Greycroft Partners, Canaan Partners, Blackstone, Technology Crossover Ventures, Trident Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, SAP Ventures, First Round Capital, and BlueRun Ventures, as well as industry experts across the globe.

Harris also confirmed that Zonoff would be exhibiting their Intuitive Home platform and related solutions in their private suite on the top floor of the Las Vegas Hilton during the upcoming 2013 Consumer Electronics Show in January. During the show, they plan to make a number of partner announcements at the show.

Machine learning has taken residence at our cities' cores and now we can finally have "smart cities." Cities are a collection of buildings made to provide the structure and safety necessary for people to function, create and survive. Buildings are a pool of ever-changing performance data from large automated systems such as heating and cooling to the people that live and work within them. Through machine learning, buildings can optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve occupant comfort by ...
The explosion of new web/cloud/IoT-based applications and the data they generate are transforming our world right before our eyes. In this rush to adopt these new technologies, organizations are often ignoring fundamental questions concerning who owns the data and failing to ask for permission to conduct invasive surveillance of their customers. Organizations that are not transparent about how their systems gather data telemetry without offering shared data ownership risk product rejection, regu...

Poor data quality and analytics drive down business value. In fact, Gartner estimated that the average financial impact of poor data quality on organizations is $9.7 million per year. But bad data is much more than a cost center. By eroding trust in information, analytics and the business decisions based on these, it is a serious impediment to digital transformation.

Enterprises have taken advantage of IoT to achieve important revenue and cost advantages. What is less apparent is how incumbent enterprises operating at scale have, following success with IoT, built analytic, operations management and software development capabilities - ranging from autonomous vehicles to manageable robotics installations. They have embraced these capabilities as if they were Silicon Valley startups.
As IoT continues to increase momentum, so does the associated risk. Secure Device Lifecycle Management (DLM) is ranked as one of the most important technology areas of IoT. Driving this trend is the realization that secure support for IoT devices provides companies the ability to deliver high-quality, reliable, secure offerings faster, create new revenue streams, and reduce support costs, all while building a competitive advantage in their markets.
