Today, Taptera, a leading developer of fast and scalable, custom-tailored mobile business applications for the enterprise, announced that Kevin Dew has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Dew will be responsible for leading all monetization efforts and scaling revenues as CRO during a time of continued expansion within Taptera’s suite of mobile business applications. With over a decade of enterprise sales experience, Dew will bring both operational and monetization expertise to Taptera’s leadership team.
“Kevin’s hire is great for Taptera for many reasons but his deep enterprise background at Sage and Salesforce along with his interest in mobile startups and companies with an entrepreneurial spirit are why I’m so excited to work alongside him moving forward,” said Chris O’Connor, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Taptera. “At Taptera we are constantly ideating on new solutions and getting them into the market quickly. With Kevin’s sales leadership and monetization vision we’re thrilled to be able to have our suite of applications spread farther, wider and faster.”
Dew joins Taptera from Bunchball where he served as Vice President of Corporate Sales building their corporate sales team, determining overall goals and strategies and scaling the company’s revenues with effective messaging and positioning. Prior to Bunchball, Dew spent nearly a decade at Salesforce closing out his tenure there as Regional Vice President responsible for hiring, goal setting, sales execution, business analysis, forecasting, contributor development and more. He started his sales career at Sage where he served as Sales Director, North America and exceeded sales targets of $14M annually, which equated to 20% of the company’s revenue at the time. While there he also expanded the Partner Channel resulting in an 80% increase in revenues.
“After years of working in enterprise sales and hearing stories from countless customers as they navigated the challenging opportunity associated with enterprise mobility I’m eager to join this talented team that is building both off-the-shelf and custom solutions to meet the unique demands of individual businesses,” said Dew. “I look forward to developing a superior monetization strategy at Taptera for their solutions and to continue to strategize around the company’s expansion.”
