FeedHenry, the developer of a cloud-based mobile application platform that simplifies the development, deployment and management of secure mobile apps for business, announced that it has been awarded the Irish Software Association (ISA) Partnership award, recognising FeedHenry’s continued success partnering with Telefónica in the European market on a number of high profile and large-scale mobile enterprise projects.
“Our ‘Joined Up Business’ programme focuses on offering business customers a comprehensive enterprise mobility solution based on next generation platform technology that is open, cloud-based and scalable,” states Paul Gower, Head of Business Consulting, Telefónica /O2. “The partnership with FeedHenry boosts the value we can deliver to organisations, helping them accelerate their mobile initiatives and offer new integrated services to their customers, partners and employees.”
Coinciding with this, FeedHenry also announced the launch of a Technology Spotlight paper commissioned from IDC entitled, "Cloud meets Mobile: Key Success Factors for Mobile Operators and their Enterprise Clients." As major stakeholders in the mobile ecosystem, operators are looking to play a bigger role in the delivery of mobile apps for large enterprise and small and medium businesses. Operators are well positioned to succeed in this fast-growing market by adopting new generation cloud and mobile technologies via strategic partnerships. The Technology Paper is now available for download at http://www.feedhenry.com/enterprise/idc-technology-spotlight/.
"The emergence of smartphones, tablets and mobile apps, combined with the increasing adoption of cloud computing is redefining how businesses operate. Faced with new challenges and opportunities, organisations often seek advice from their incumbent mobile service provider," comments Cathal McGloin, CEO, FeedHenry. "Mobile operators are well positioned to make a big play to enterprise customers through delivering business-critical mobility solutions. The success of our partnership with Telefónica, the honour of the Irish business awards and the launch of the new technology paper place FeedHenry at the core of this exciting trend."
"Recent IDC data suggests that nearly two-thirds of organizations plan to, or already have, deployed a mobile cloud offering and an amazing 86% of mobile enterprise developers plan to connect mobile apps to a public or private cloud service," said Stephen Drake, Senior Analyst, IDC, and author of the whitepaper. "The intersection of mobile and cloud is a natural one, especially for mobile operators. While early generation mobile platforms were difficult to deploy and challenging for operators to sell, they can now leverage next gen mobile cloud offerings to offer compelling solutions that are easier and faster to develop and deploy."
