MUNICH, GERMANY -- (Marketwire) -- 11/21/12 -- MultiLing, a translation services provider specializing in intellectual property (IP) and technical materials translations for multinational enterprises, will sponsor two first-class events in the patent and innovation world this month. At the IP Service World Conference, held November 26 and 27 in Munich, MultiLing's vice president of sales, Todd Rapier, will present the company's centralized translation model to demonstrate how enterprises can ensure the optimal quality of their international patent translations, minimize patent litigation due to translation errors and reduce overall translation costs.
On November 30, MultiLing will host an information booth at the award ceremony of the oldest German innovation prize, the Dieselmedaille. The award is presented by the German Institute for Inventions and was co-founded in 1953 by Eugen Diesel, the son of the engine builder Rudolf Diesel. Since then, the Dieselmedaille has been awarded to more than 400 inventors, including Wernher von Braun Gottlob Bauknecht, Hans Viessmann, Arthur Fischer, Anton Kathrein, Sybill Storz, Fritz Sennheiser, and the Nobel prize winners Herrmann Staudinger, Ernst Ruska and Manfred Eigen. Other honorees include the founders of SAP, Dietmar Hopp, Prof. Dr. h.c. Hasso Plattner and Dr. h.c. Klaus E. Tschira.
Approximately 200 guests, including MultiLing CEO Michael Sneddon, are expected to attend the award ceremony at Munich's Deutsche Museum (German Museum), the largest science and technology museum in the world.
"Munich is the patent capital of Europe, where both the German patent and trademark office and the European Patent Office reside," said Sneddon, who will also attend IP Service World. "In addition, the newly established patent court will have a branch in Munich. These important organizations connect many IP service providers to the Bavarian capital. This creates optimal conditions for our MultiLing subsidiary in Starnberg, close to Munich, to help German and international companies in securing their IP claims with our unique centralized patent translations model."
