DENVER, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/27/12 -- ViaWest, one of the largest privately held data center, cloud computing and managed service providers in North America, announces today that eLynx Technologies has expanded its IT infrastructure services within ViaWest's data center located in downtown Las Vegas. By outsourcing its colocation services to ViaWest in a geographically dispersed, secure data center, eLynx further augments its disaster recovery plan.
Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, eLynx is a leading provider of web-based monitoring, exception based alarming, and field automation services for the oil and gas industry. eLynx chose ViaWest's secure Las Vegas data center as part of its disaster recovery plan due to the region's low disaster risk. With the addition of its newest Lone Mountain facility, ViaWest will offer more than 100,000 square-feet of raised floor space across three premium data centers in the Las Vegas region, each with multiple network, cooling and power redundancies built in.
"eLynx has been very impressed with the high degree of responsiveness from the ViaWest team," states Ryan McDonald, IT Director for eLynx. "By colocating our disaster recovery infrastructure with ViaWest, we've been able to rely on their expert staff to handle the on-going management and operations of our data center space rather than implementing an in-house solution. This has allowed us to truly focus on our core services, furthering growth for our company and enabling a high level of service for our clients."
"ViaWest has experienced huge growth in the Las Vegas area as companies throughout the nation select the Las Vegas area as a primary or secondary site for their data," states Michael Vignato, Regional Vice President of Sales, Nevada General Manager for ViaWest. "eLynx is laser focused on providing value and innovative services to its clients and shares ViaWest's goal of providing service excellence. We look forward to continued growth and a strong partnership with eLynx in the years to come."
Scheduled for opening in Q4 2012, ViaWest's newest data center in the Las Vegas area, Lone Mountain, is designed for extreme fault-tolerance and high-availability, offering over 70,000 square feet of raised floor space. ViaWest backs its services and support with a 100% Service Level Agreement (SLA) for power, bandwidth, and network services availability, along with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
