MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Atomic Data, Minnesota's premiere private cloud and IT solutions provider, announced today that Mike Horwath has joined the company as Director of Network Engineering. Effective immediately, Horwath will be managing a team of infrastructure and network engineers as well as overseeing Atomic's critical virtualized cloud platform. Horwath will be reporting directly to Jim Wolford (CEO of Atomic Data).
Mike Horwath, a highly regarded industry veteran, has been designing hosting solutions and managing servers on the Internet for the last two decades. Horwath founded Winternet, Minnesota's first ISP, where he delivered Internet access and web hosting services to tens of thousands of Minnesotans. From 1996 to 2004, Horwath filled the role of CTO for VISI.com where once again he was at the forefront of hosting design and management -- creating high-performance, redundant hosting platforms. In his most recent role as CTO of ipHouse, he turned his expertise toward designing and deploying improved virtualization platforms.
Jim Wolford (CEO) had this to say about Horwath's appointment, "We're incredibly excited to welcome Mike to the Atomic Data team. Having worked with Mike before, I know first-hand the depth of knowledge and skill that Mike brings to the table. His expertise is a great fit with our existing team and we look forward to seeing what he will do for our private cloud platform."
