Red Bend Software, the market leader in Mobile Software Management (MSM) with more than 1.6 billion Red Bend-Enabled™ devices, will showcase how mobile technologies such as firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updating and virtualization improve the driving experience on Monday, Dec. 17 at the Israel Automotive Summit 2012.
The automotive industry is experiencing an unprecedented proliferation of software. While this increased functionality makes the driving experience more enjoyable it also creates more complexity. Yoram Berholtz, Red Bend’s Director of Market Adoption, will demonstrate how FOTA updating can be used to manage software inside automotive head units, infotainment systems and electronic control units (ECUs). He also will discuss the benefits of virtualization, which creates security and efficiency by allowing software to run in separate operating systems.
