Premier Specialty Bedding Retailer, Mattress Firm, Selects Events by Taptera for Annual Sales Event

Mattress Firm, one of the nation’s premier specialty bedding retailers, today announced that is has selected Taptera, a leading developer of fast and scalable, custom-tailored mobile applications for the enterprise, to develop and support a custom version of its successful Events application for the company’s upcoming annual sales training event. Taptera offers nine off-the-shelf applications that can be easily and quickly customized to meet each client’s unique requirements, branding, and more. Mattress Firm, which utilizes Salesforce and its Chatter solution for its teams, sought out a solutions partner that was able to integrate Chatter functionality into the application as seamlessly as other social feeds.

“By custom tailoring our elegant, fast applications for each unique business, we’re seeing incredible interest from a wide variety of industries – retail, financial services, insurance and others. Mattress Firm, with its deployment of mobile capabilities for its sales team, is certainly one of the most forward-thinking organizations we’ve worked with and we are thrilled to respond quickly and nimbly to their development and services needs,” said Chris O’Connor, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Taptera. “Our goal is to help companies gain a greater competitive edge often through increased efficiencies and communications. With Events by Taptera with Salesforce Chatter integrated in-app we know that Mattress Firm’s sales event will be even more beneficial to each of the six hundred attendees.”

The Chatter integration includes the ability for all users of a specified Chatter Group to access the group’s feed. Additionally users have the ability to view, in-app, Chatter files attached to feed posts, post photos from a user’s device to a Chatter group and the ability to “Like” and “Comment” per the traditional Chatter service. With the integration of Salesforce Chatter into Events by Taptera, the application will soon be available through the AppExchange. From the AppExchange, prospects will be able to gain exposure to the application and the customization that Taptera can provide to any organization. Events by Taptera has also been successfully deployed by companies including TechCrunch, APPNATION, TechTarget and others.

“When it comes to advanced mobile development and application support, we at Mattress Firm knew we needed a trusted partner whose primary business was to create intuitive applications for organizations. Taptera met each of our needs including the ability to integrate in the Chatter Feed and could deliver the application quickly given the existing Events app framework,” said Cory Ludens, Director of Learning and Development, Mattress Firm. “For our company, Chatter is already an essential tool for us to engage our national sales team. It is a natural fit to integrate that amazing asset with the mobile solution of choice for our annual meeting. By seeing Events by Taptera in action pre-customization, it was an easy jump to understand how it would work best for our sales training event as well. We look forward to offering it to our teams and seeing their response.”
