SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/17/12 -- Tableau Software, a global leader in rapid-fire business intelligence software, is raising the bar for Big Data analytics in Latin America after announcing integration with Google BigQuery and SAP HANA. As part of its ongoing commitment to the market in Latin America, Tableau more than doubled the number of resources dedicated to Latin America during 2012. Tableau continues to add more local partners and training resources to complement its Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese product offerings.
Tableau integrates with virtually every platform and enterprise solution -- delivered via desktop, web and mobile devices -- with no programming required. Whether via native data connector or in-memory, Tableau is the data analysis software that allows you to work with your data no matter where it lives.
"Tableau is a new generation of business intelligence," said Miguel Nhuch, Vice-President for Latin America for Tableau. "Tableau is a second generation BI tool that is much easier to deploy, administer and scale and allows users of all levels to ask and answer questions -- in a matter of seconds. Tableau employs cutting-edge advances in computer science to accelerate analysis. The result is that whenever required, the business users can from any device access multiple data sources of any size, while at the same time, reducing the burden that traditional heavy business intelligence platforms place on IT."
Nhuch, who is Brazilian and speaks seven languages fluently, has been spearheading the expansion efforts throughout Latin America since he came on board in April, 2012.
Earlier this quarter, Tableau announced its integration with Google BigQuery, a fully managed cloud-based service that enables businesses to interactively analyze enormous amounts of data in the cloud. Tableau's direct connection to BigQuery enables business users to easily visualize and analyze Big Data in just a few clicks.
Tableau also upped the ante when it announced it was offering direct connectivity to SAP HANA to bring big data to life. Tableau connects directly to SAP HANA in-memory computing platform, providing a fast connect-and-go experience to data, no matter how big or complex. Tableau's visual analytics software now includes a native direct and interactive connection to SAP HANA, allowing business users to easily tap into data and start visualizing and analyzing in real-time.
The Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese versions of Tableau 8.0 are fully aligned with the company's global expansion strategy. During 2012, Tableau has announced strategic partnerships with industry-leading IT consulting firms in Latin America, including:
- Brazil: CSC, PATH, Twice Software and Full Business Partner
- Chile: Solex, Cognus and Intellego
- Colombia: Procalidad
- Costa Rica: ITECSA
- Guatemala: Computing Resources
- Mexico: InfoMedia, Intellego, DataTeam Consulting and Data Discovery
- Peru: Gora Consulting
Last year, Tableau announced major improvements to the Tableau Partner Program, making it easier for partners to help their customers and to grow their businesses.
Latin America Expansion
Tableau announced its global expansion in Latin America and introduced Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese versions of its products in May. Since then, the company has been hosting educational events throughout the region to introduce new audiences to fast analytics, visualization and business intelligence in their native tongue. Tableau has already hosted events for clients and prospects in Mexico City, Monterrey, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Sao Paulo and Santiago, Chile.
