"tw telecom's network extension adds tremendous value to Coeur d'Alene area businesses," said Steve Wilson, president and CEO of the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce. "The network is a valuable component in attracting new businesses into this region. We are pleased with tw telecom's commitment and investment in delivering their powerful Ethernet network to help us create economic opportunity."
"tw telecom is a valued partner to us and Spokane area businesses and their network solutions add tremendous value to attract more businesses to our region," said Robin Toth, vice president of Business Development for Greater Spokane, Inc. "We are very pleased with the commitment and investment tw telecom is making in Spokane and the surrounding business community."
"Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls businesses will be able to access tw telecom's industry leading Business Ethernet, including our Intelligent Network services such as Enhanced Management and Dynamic Capacity," said Tom Newbury, tw telecom's vice president in Spokane, Wash. and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. "This will give them unprecedented real-time visibility, control and flexibility of their network to become more efficient in serving their customers and in growing their businesses."
tw telecom's Business Ethernet provides secure, scalable, predictable network connections for any enterprise needing connectivity to remote locations, data centers and to the cloud. tw telecom recently introduced its Intelligent Network suite of services that is delivered over the firm's Business Ethernet network. These capabilities include Enhanced Management and Dynamic Capacity.
"We see an ever increasing demand for our Business Ethernet services from customers that want to improve their communications infrastructure and access newer applications such as cloud computing, telepresence, and collaboration," said Newbury.
Enhanced Management allows customers the ability to immediately view their entire network – end to end, and segment by segment – and to monitor the overall performance of their network in real-time. Dynamic Capacity, a unique bandwidth on demand solution, allows subscribers to increase their bandwidth as needed up to three times their subscribed data rate. This is performed in seconds by accessing the tw telecom customer portal. After the event occurs, whether scheduled or unscheduled, the customer returns to the original committed data rate. Neither capability affects the customer's service or quality of transmission.
"tw telecom is recognized for the level of superior customer service we provide," added Newbury. "Our new fiber connectivity provides a highly reliable and resilient network connection that supports our local businesses and helps them grow their business in an 'intelligent' way."
