PROVIDENCE, RI -- (Marketwire) -- 01/07/13 -- GreenBytes®, Inc., a developer of high-performance, full-featured desktop virtualization solutions that uniquely support existing infrastructure investments, today announced that the company is moving its corporate headquarters to Providence, Rhode Island. Founded in 2007 in Westerly, Rhode Island, significant business growth has necessitated the move to a larger, more centrally located urban area that will enable more expansive employee recruitment and business operations.
This office move kicks off the New Year after a highly productive 2012 for GreenBytes, which included the appointment of Stephen O'Donnell as Chief Executive Officer and the hiring of Brett Johnson as Senior Vice President, Global Sales. Earlier in the year, GreenBytes received $12 Million in Series B Funding from Generation Investment Management, Battery Ventures and the company's founders for accelerating sales and marketing efforts for its award-winning, patented desktop virtualization solution, the IO Offload Engine.
GreenBytes also announced in 2012 the significant expansion of its European operations with an enhanced presence in the United Kingdom, as well as the opening of an office in Amsterdam. Most recently, GreenBytes was named as the winning Virtualization Trailblazer in the 2012 Tech Trailblazers Awards.
"With a rapidly expanding business in an extremely hot market, we are faced with an ongoing increase in company personnel, and this office move enables GreenBytes to accommodate growth and plan for further business expansion," said Stephen O'Donnell, Chief Executive Officer of GreenBytes. "GreenBytes is proud to be a Rhode Island-based high-technology company, and this move to Providence further solidifies our commitment to the State, and is an important step forward as we continue on our path as an industry leader and key innovator in the desktop virtualization market."
GreenBytes Corporate Headquarters is now located at:
275 Promenade Street, Suite 225
Providence, RI 02908 USA
