CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - January 10, 2013) - MCPc, Inc., a Cleveland-based technology products and solutions provider, announced today the combining of its imaging and printing business unit with RS Business Machines Inc., a leader in the managed print services industry located in Sandusky, Ohio, to create a new entity named MCPc Imaging and Printing, LLC.
MCPc has depth and expertise in the data center, networking, collaboration, and advanced business analytics. RS Business Machines has developed an advanced model to track and deliver service which will benefit existing MCPc managed print service customers. Both of their clients will be better served by combining the best of both companies. In addition, the newly formed company will be able to offer print as a service to customers. Similar to software as a service, print as a service means that the client no longer has to purchase devices to produce paper documents, they simply pay for each page that they print. The print-as-a-service model provides the devices, supplies, and services needed to print, copy, scan, or fax documents as needed, all based on a cost per page basis.
"MCPc believes that our customers will be best served by a business focused specifically on managed print services," said Michael Trebilcock, chairman and chief executive officer of MCPc. "MCPc will have a significant ownership interest in the joint venture. With their operational proficiencies and our scale and scope, we couldn't be more excited about being partnered with them."
"We've both learned a great deal from each other already," said Gina Vincent, former president of RS and new president of MCPc, Imaging and Printing, LLC. "On behalf of everyone at MCPc Imaging and Printing, LLC, we are looking forward to new opportunities to learn and grow from each other, our customers, and partners."
