AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 01/14/13 -- One Source Networks (OSN), the managed voice, data and cloud services provider and network partner of choice for large enterprises, announced today the closing of its acquisition of cloud managed solutions provider OuterNet on December 31, 2012.
The integration of the two companies provides OSN and its customer base with an expanded set of managed services, including managed hosting and storage, infrastructure and professional services expertise with certifications in key technologies and products such as Cisco networking, Dell servers and enterprise storage, CommVault data management and VMware virtualization.
The transaction includes OuterNet's 10,000 square foot data center in Austin, Texas, which houses customer equipment as well as infrastructure for cloud computing and unified communications offerings. This center complements OSN's colocation footprint of 300+ data centers around the world.
Customers will also have access to enhanced data management, protection and disaster recovery capabilities leveraging industry-leading technologies including Dell EqualLogic array-based replication, CommVault Simpana backup and host-based replication, and VMware virtualization, all hosted out of the Austin-based data center. The company's hardware support capabilities will expand with additional design, deployment and maintenance options for LAN and WAN hardware such as Dell, HP, Cisco, Adtran and Juniper.
"This acquisition is tremendously exciting for One Source Networks and our customer base," commented Ernest Cunningham, CEO, One Source Networks. "The combined strengths of OSN and OuterNet create a unique managed network solutions organization that is committed to delivering continuously innovative products to the enterprise market."
In addition to the expanded portfolio of services offered, OSN and OuterNet customers will also benefit from an integrated 24/7 onsite Network Operations Center (NOC), to allow for more efficient, premium-quality solution delivery.
Q Advisors LLC, a Denver, San Francisco and Princeton based investment banking boutique, acted as exclusive financial advisor to One Source Networks, and Tolarus Capital Advisors, LLC, an Austin based investment banking firm, acted as exclusive financial advisor to OuterNet in connection with the transaction.
