Aquantia, the leading developer of High Speed Ethernet connectivity solutions for cloud computing and large-scale data center deployments, announced today that it will present at the 2013 Annual Needham Growth Conference on January 15, 2013, in New York City, New York.
Demand for high-speed connectivity continues unabated in large-scale data centers as massive amounts of data migrate to the cloud, with the combination of virtualization and increasing processor speed creating an undue constraint on server I/O. The launch of Intel’s Romley/Sandy Bridge server platforms in March 2012 has epitomized this phenomenon, which resulted in a significant shift towards 10Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. 10GBASE-T is demonstrating the fastest growth of all 10Gigabit Ethernet networking solutions as the technology is implemented as an LAN-on-Motherboard (LOM) solution on volume rack servers for the first time. Seamus Crehan of Crehan Research recently reported that shipments of server-class 10GBASE-T adapter and LOMs grew at a very fast pace in the quarter following the Romley launch, exceeding all cumulative shipments up to that point.
Phil Delansay, Aquantia’s vice president of business development, will discuss the underlying drivers of the data center transformation and the implications for companies like Aquantia, which delivers the enabling technologies at the core of these transitions.
“Aquantia is at the nexus of a major transition taking place in data centers, as CIOs and IT organizations are now able to combine the dramatic improvements in processor performance led by Intel’s Sandy Bridge platform with the availability of its unique, industry-leading, 10GBASE-T LOM solution,” Delansay said. “We look forward to discussing these exciting trends with investors at the Needham Growth Conference.”
The 2013 Annual Needham Growth Conference will be hosted at the New York Palace Hotel in New York City on January 15-17, 2013.
