RESTON, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/17/13 -- IT management software provider ScienceLogic Inc. reported that it has capped off a record-breaking year with a 69 percent year-over-year sales increase during the fourth quarter of 2012, driven by an expanding customer base both domestically and internationally. ScienceLogic saw a 49 percent increase in sales over the surge achieved in the third quarter of 2012, showing that not only is growth up quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year, but is rapidly trending up.
The success in 2012 is attributed to a record number of new customers and a client base that has grown in excess of 30 percent for the last two years. On top of that, 25 percent of existing customers significantly grew their use of ScienceLogic's award winning software platform in 2012. Winning business from new customers, while simultaneously enabling existing customers to expand their systems, is key to company growth. Some of our notable new and growing customers from the fourth quarter include SAP, National Academies of Sciences, Peak Colo, Cloudops, Carbonite, Virtacore, and C-Span.
"I couldn't be happier with the growth we're seeing," said John Becker, CEO, ScienceLogic. "Not only have we consistently displaced competitors at new customer sites, we also saw one out of every four existing customers increase the business they did with us -- which is an important factor in any company's healthy growth. We're always happy to help our customers grow their business and open up new revenue opportunities while driving down costs. We are truly a partner for our customers' business success and have fostered a trust based on providing real value for a win-win partnership year after year."
In addition to domestic growth, ScienceLogic is expanding globally, adding an office in Australia and increasing its investment in EMEA. International sales have increased from two percent in 2011 to nearly 20 percent of overall sales in 2012 and are expected to contribute significantly to growth in 2013.
ScienceLogic also received a number of prestigious awards in 2012 highlighting its rapid growth rate. ScienceLogic won the Red Herring 2012 Top 100 Global award, the Red Herring 2012 Top 100 North America award, and was named to the 2012 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list of fastest growing technology companies in the United States. And to kick off 2013, our software was just named an InfoWorld Technology of the Year award winner.
