ANAHEIM, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/23/13 -- ZyXEL Communications, a leading provider of secure broadband networking, Internet access, connected home and routing products, today introduced a special offer to its authorized partners, enabling them to save up to $1900 on one free year of ZyXEL anti-virus and IDP (Intrusion Detection/Peer-to-Peer Blocking) services.
The offer is available for a number of ZyXEL's UTM (Unified Threat and Management) solutions designed for SMBs, including USG100, USG200, USG300, USG1000, and USG2000 models. These models offer award-winning network protection and boast up to seven multi-WAN gigabit ports and from 50 to 2000 VPN tunnels. All feature, SSL, VPN, high availability, anti-virus, and IDP.
"Trends like BYOD and increased reliance on cloud computing have boosted demand for anti-virus and IDP service," said Steven Joe, ZyXEL's executive vice president of channel business for Americas. "The ZyXEL Incentive Rebate Program was created specifically to increase the margins for our partners by offering these services to them for free."
Depending on the model purchased, savings can range from $200 to $1900. The promotion ends March 31st, 2013. Purchases of these products must be made through ZyXEL authorized distributors ASI, Ingram Micro, Tech Data, Synnex, Wynit, and Jenne. Products purchased through online retailers are not eligible. The promotion is valid December 3, 2012 through March 31, 2013, while stock is available. For more information contact sales at partner@zyxel.com and rebate form is available here.
ZyXEL anti-virus blocks the latest threats, providing auto updating first line of defense against network virus outbreaks. Unlike firewalls, which look outwardly for intrusions, IDP not only evaluates a suspected external intrusion and signals an alarm but also evaluates threats from within the system. It proactively examines network communications, identifies signatures of common computer attacks, and triggers an alarm to alert network operators of the threat. ZyXEL IDP also pre-emptively terminates connections when threats are identified. It can stop instant messaging programs that allow employees to waste time chatting online. Also, peer-to-peer blocking allows businesses, including hospitality venues, to block bit torrent and illegal downloads.
ZyXEL IDP can provide comprehensive and customizable reports. Flexible, customizable service options can be implemented to accommodate specific customer requirements.
