FRANKFURT, Germany, PARIS and NEW YORK, Jan. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Galigeo acquired a majority stake in geoXtend GmbH of Limburg to address the growing Location Intelligence (LI) and Analytics (LA) markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. With Galigeo, geoXtend will improve its focus on proposing state-of-the-art LI/LA software and services to fortune 500 companies.
Michael Arthen, geoXtend's Founder and Managing Director says: "In addition to our already existing Technology and Services offering, we can now deliver modern Location Intelligence solutions based on the Galigeo platform to companies looking to leverage their investments in Business Intelligence (BI) and CRM. Location Intelligence adds the spatial dimension to standard BI and CRM systems to solve optimization, analysis, prediction and reporting problems. Galigeo chose geoXtend to develop in German speaking countries because we are specialized in LI, have a team of GIS and Business Intelligence experts and experience to succeed in delivering solutions in geomarketing, Sales force and territory management, law enforcement, compliance and life-sciences."
While all major business sectors can benefit, geoXtend will focus on companies in retail, consumer goods, telco, energy, life-sciences, manufacturing, government and homeland security.
With its consulting services, geoXtend guides its clients through complex technical, organizational and integration alternatives, including how to:
- Implement spatial and geomarketing capabilities from a distributed database environment, such as BI (SAP-Business Objects, IBM-Cognos, MicroStrategy, etc.) and CRM (Salesforce.com) systems.
- Geocode, enrich and exploit heterogeneous data from any Data Source (i.e. Data Warehouse, Data Marts) and provide Customers with more customer and market insight, visualizing and analyze the outcome and developing actionable recommendations.
- Optimize the deployment of a large sales force; obtain an insightful understanding of clients across geographies and the corresponding impact on the enterprise's profitability.
geoXtendworks with the major technical platforms, Business Intelligence, CRM and location data providers in the market.
