"CA Wily Introscope is an essential Java monitoring tool that provides detailed information about the health and availability of SAP applications and multiple systems at a glance," said
SAP Extended Diagnostics, based on CA Wily Introscope, helps customers to identify and pinpoint bottlenecks proactively, eliminate unplanned outages, manage service levels, optimize resources and lower the costs associated with maintaining Web applications. It complements and enhances the capabilities of the SAP NetWeaver(R) technology platform by monitoring complex Java and .NET Web applications, application servers, portals, enterprise service buses, process servers and other service-oriented architecture (SOA) infrastructure components -- all day, every day. This helps IT to ensure that mission-critical Web applications and Web services meet business and performance goals.
Today's large and complex Web application and SOA environments are increasingly difficult to manage, which can make problem resolution extremely time consuming and costly. SAP Extended Diagnostics is optimized to help manage the complexity introduced by large Web application and SOA environments. When a production problem occurs, SAP Extended Diagnostics helps pinpoint the component in the infrastructure that is causing poor performance, enabling the organization to avoid problems that can result in additional development expense, loss of confidence in IT or the business unit, customer dissatisfaction and, ultimately, lost revenue.
The strong, multi-year partnership between CA and SAP is supported by more than 1,500 SAP customers who have downloaded CA Wily Introscope from the SAP(R) Service Marketplace. SAP Extended Diagnostics complements and bolsters the ability of SAP NetWeaver to manage mission-critical Web application performance in large, complex and highly distributed SOA and virtualized environments. SAP provides Wily Introscope for SAP products as part of SAP(R) Solution Manager. With SAP Extended Diagnostics, SAP customers can now extend the use of CA Wily Introscope also for custom code and non-SAP applications.
"Customers and prospects want confidence that they can manage the performance of mission-critical, Web-based applications and services deployed on the SAP NetWeaver platform," said
SAP said the new solution is now available to customers worldwide.
"We are pleased to further expand our relationship with CA," said
