Bill Corrigan, Chief Strategy Officer of Neocleus, will be presenting at SYS-CON's 5th International Virtualization Conference & Expo being held in New York City this coming March 30-April 1, 2009. Bogner, who is responsible for executing against the company's product vision and for setting the technology vision, will be discussing how client-hosted virtualization offers a different approach to controlling the corporate image without compromising security, ultimately reducing TCO of corporate-owned desktops and laptops.
"With virtualization viewed as one of the most promising technology investments in an economic downturn, the question becomes: where can its benefits reap real cost savings?" explains Bogner.
One answer, he says, lies in reducing total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) over corporate-owned desktops and laptops.
"Gartner reports that the five-year TCO of corporate PCs is approximately 10 times the purchase price, a significant IT expenditure. Clearly this can be reduced, but requires rethinking how desktops and laptops are managed and supported," Bogner notes.
His session, entitled "Reducing TCO with Client-Hosted Virtualization," will overview how client-hosted virtualization offers a different approach to controlling the corporate image without compromising security, ultimately reducing TCO of corporate-owned desktops and laptops.

5th International Virtualization Conference & Expo - New York City - March 30-April 1, 2009
Virtualization is reorganizing the IT industry. It underpins cloud computing by making it possible to separate the software from the hardware.Overall, the virtualization market has grown from approximately $560 million in 2005 to a forecasted $2.7 billion in 2009, according to IDC. According to Gartner, virtualization will be the highest-impact IT trend changing infrastructure and operations through 2012.
While data center virtualization is still the #1 market segment, it’s starting to get competition from application virtualization, storage virtualization, I/O virtualization and virtualization for end users - so called endpoint virtualization. In fact, in almost any credible survey of Top Technology Trends for 2009, Virtualization and Cloud Computing top the list. In Gartner's Top 10 Strategic Technologies for 2009, it ranked #1, up from #5 last year.
