An Introduction To Twitter !

Some readers of my blog have asked me to write about twitter and it's features,so here is the my view about Twitter. And remember to look here for Basic Definitions and Concepts about SEO-SEM and Social Media etc.

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users' updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.

You want to use Twitter !

If you are new to social media and you are striving hard to meet the pace at which the social communities are growing, i will suggest you to use twitter also and following are the simple steps you have to take to get started on twitter:

1) Go to www.twitter.com

2) Sign in for a new account

3) And you are ready

4) Depending on the username you choosed you will get a twitter page e.g. my twitter address is: http://twitter.com/khmohsin

5)After that whenever you will visit www.twitter.com,your page will be dispalyed if you have saved your username and password.

After Sign-Up | Using Twitter

Now after sign up there are many different ways to start using twitter. I will recommend the following wat to new people:

1) Note on your twitter page on right side there are three words or headings very prominent:

a)Following b)Followers c)Updates

I explain them shortly here:

a)Following:

This will be the number of people you like on twitter and you want to know what they are doing on twitter. How to find people of your interest,i will explain it in a while,be patient.

b)Followers:

This number will represent the people who like you, and they want to know what you are doing. How people will find you ? Well it will take sometime.

c)Updates:

This will be a list of your activities posted on twitter and it will increase with time as you continue to use twitter.

Start Using Twitter:

Simply go to: search.twitter.com

search for a topic you like e.g. SEO, marketing, social media, humor etc. and you will get a list of people that were recently speakinf on a topic you like. e.g. I searched for "SEO" and the top result is as follows:
Now we have three options marked red above:
  1. Click the name of person who posted it
  2. Click "Reply" to reply him
  3. Click "View Tweet" to see the message

When you click the name of person you have the option to "Follow" him. And when you have added some people to follow their new messages will appear on your twitter page.

I will add more on Twitter later, Do make comments to motivate me to furthur writing.

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing.
