In the last 6 months at least, I have been blogging on many topics but with one central theme, I believe mobility is key to enterprise companies, not only now but for their future. This is especially true in the current economic climate, where cost effectiveness, rapid decisions, streamlining processes and return on investment is crucial. Let me expand on that further...
No one would argue that the world is mobile and mobility is impacting business on a global level. Currently we have explosive data growth leading to information everywhere and what is critical is access to useful information anywhere, anytime. Enterprises are increasingly thinking of, and mobilizing their workforces but also need to integrate to enterprise systems. In turn, these same organizations are moving from siloed applications to strategic mobile platforms.

Well today SAP & Sybase have announced a truly exciting partnership, a partnership to mobilize business applications for millions of mobile device users worldwide. This vision follows exactly where I've been coming from and will allow for the first time, SAP Business Suite to be delivered to a wide array of mobile devices including the iPhone, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and other platforms. Everyday hundreds of millions of information workers rely on SAP software to conduct their business. Together, SAP and Sybase will enable companies to help this workforce greatly enhance their productivity outside of the office by allowing them to make informative and timely business decisions anytime and anyplace.
